My #labordaystory literally lol. So all day yesterday I was contracting. Not too close at first but enough to notice that they were becoming consistent. So I went all the way til about 8:30pm then they were 3-5 minutes apart so we went in just to get sent home at 10:30 because I wasn't progressing, but my contractions were getting stronger. So we went home, boyfriend made me food i took a bath, he made our bed and we were watching a movie while my contractions were getting closer & WAY more stronger I burst into tears and my boyfriend just knew we had to go back. (I have a pretty high pain tolerance) . So I go back and i sit there for 4 hours and only progressed from 3cm to 4 so they admit me anyways to monitor me for longer, and basically tell me they don't see me having a baby today. But then around 8am I get some medicine through my iv and it made me really sleepy so even though i kept contracting I was sleeping then waking up to those, and before you know it at 9:30am I wake up to my water breaking and they come and check me and im 7cm dilated with the same contractions they've been doubting the whole night. So of course after my water broke they hurt like hell, then the epidural people took forever. I swear I don't think ive ever been so rude in my life. here i am trying to not push a baby out just yet and getting asked the same questions ive already been asked 100 times. so i get the epidural and before it has a chance to even fully kick in Im pushing for 20 minutes and here comes my daughter. I didn't tear or anything & she is 100% healthy 💜 I am blessed. Funny thing is none of the nurses would have guessed i was in full blown labor with how chill I was acting. But i dont see how being anything but calm would have been helpful.
