I never ever lived by the "cry it out method" but today that's what's going on. My daughter ripped off the tip of her paci yesterday and threw it in a corner and forgot about it all day. This morning she woke up crying at 8 am looking for it so I give it to her and she's so upset that its destroyed. But since she broke it and since she will be 2 in a few months I refuse to purchase a new one. So for a hour I've been trying to sooth her and nothing works so I just now put her into her room and will let her cry it out.

Distract her with something she like. I do it with my niece when she's here with me. she like to eat so soon as she get here o feed her and put it in her bag. she never ask for it unless you tell her to go to sleep

@amaperalta03, poor baby to the both of you. My parents said I used my paci till 5 and it was turn up time if I lost it and they didn't replace it. Amanda you know what's best for her. Good luck boo.

at tht age take her off the the pacifier. she too old and let her cry it out. she will get used to it n time. u got a new bby coming and she dnt need to b acting like a bby tell her u gotta b a big sister and b a big girl 4 mommy.

@jasmommy, I've tried to take it away. Your not the one dealing with her. She's only 1 she doesn't understand what big girl means just yet . When I took it away before it was the most 3 miserable days of my life so her doctor told me that she will lose interest in it herself. Which is what's happening now. After she cried it out she napped and didn't look for it all day nor night. @jasmommy
