We are having one but we didn't ask for any gifts or do a registry. I think it's the sole purpose of getting families together to celebrate a new baby! We had ppl ask what they can get and I told them whatever they wanted in the area of diaper wipes clothes socks stuff like that all the big stuff my family bought
