So today my sister and I got into a disagreement over parenting. I told her that every time she tells my niece no she has to be serious about it instead of saying no then laughing and playing with her 2 seconds afterwards. She tells me my niece is only 1 and doesn't know any better. My daughter is going on 10 months and when I say no or stop she listens to me. Unlike my niece who you have to constantly tell her no over and over and think things are funny. Then she tells me that she doesn't want to break my niece wrist off by popping her and that she's too young to understand. I told her I never said beat her or abuse her. I pop my daughter's hand when she's doing wrong (I give her warnings first) it doesn't hurt her she doesn't even cry (unless she's sleepy then she throws a temper tantrum) but she knows mommy is serious. She knows I love her but I have to put my foot down. I'm mother first and bestfriend second. Was I wrong?

Not at all! I smack my child's hand whenever he's being naughty and does not listen after multiple warnings! He still does it though... he doesn't care but I still try! My son is 1 and he needs to learn. I don't think hand smacking is abuse 😒 kids need to learn to respect and know right from wrong 😊

since my son was born my mom warning about something that babies are smart. honesty she is right they are really smart. my son 10 months old he knows when hes doing something that he doesn't suppose to do. i don't spank him i just say no. it's funny who looks up first anybody when hes about to touch something.

i pop my sons hand sometimes
. this boy is almost a year old and i already have to pop him . he's hard headed 😣😣😣😣

my sister doesn't even say no like she's supposed to. whenever she does say it she then laughs and play about it so she doesn't take her seriously. my daughter all I have to do is say no and she'll listen to me. I rarely pop her now @carlitojrmami @octobermom14
