Really upset. My mom lives 3 hours away from me. I hardly ever get to see her or visit. She doesn't make much money, so driving to see me just for a day is expensive and stupid. She gets 3 days off this coming week, and I ask my boyfriend if it's still cool she comes to visit. And he freaks out on me saying why can't she just come for the day? And I explained that its not a big deal that she comes to visit? He just says he's gotta do his work on the laptop to get his store open and she will distract him. When she wouldn't. Then he just says he'll let me know. Like this is the first time I've actually felt upset with him... I have no car, I stay at home 24/7
(which I don't mind) but fuck, I miss my mother and would like to spend more than a few hours with her... It just doesn't seem fair... I don't ask for much, and it's not like he will let me go visit by myself there. I'm breastfeeding so he won't be cool with our daughter being around 8 pit bulls and sleep on a couch. So I understand that. But fuck, what's 2 nights??

I'm pretty sad about this because he's being controlling. And after a year with him, this is the first time I've noticed this.
Thankfully, my baby girl makes me feel loved, and it's hard to be sad when I have her ❤️

Aw I am so sorry he's being like that. But you have to think of it as your home as well and some times do things for yourself. My fiancé was the same way until i put my foot down.

True. @bonniesue he's always done anything and everything for me, and never had a issue. But recently he's just been weird acting. I just don't get it

I would just approach him next time and say "my mom will be here from ---- to ----" and then after she leaves ask him what's going on. Why the sudden change. Men do go through things when babies are born. But what you allow is what will continue. Took me months to finally tell my fiancé I would not let the fact I had a baby keep me miserable

oh honey. you need to tell him to suck it up because momma is coming to visit. if he needs quiet then he can sit in yalls room on the bed and work. He needs to understand where your coming from and that even though were grown women we still need our mommies too just like our babies need us. Put your foot down and tell him that it is your home too and your mom is coming to visit. My husband learned the hard way that I will invite whomever I want within reason to our home. I had a friend come over yesterday and I forgot to tell him until she pulled in my yard. lol but that was an accident i just forgot to tell him. lol
