Does a 13 month old "know" what no means as far as not doing it? Delos looks at me when I say no like he's challenging me and does the thing I say no to. Am I wrong (not a bad mom) but premature on the swat on the bottom when he doesn't listen to me?

i swatted my kids butt at that age for not listening i think they do understand what they are doing.

we have a 14 month old, she understands no, but we've been using it since she started pulling herself up on stuff (i think she was 8-9months?) and if she repeatedly ignores us she gets a swat on the hand.

vera is less then a year and ahe knows what no means when we tell her NO she throws a fit and lays on the floor crying makes me feel bad that i dont pick he up and make her stop but i have to let l her or shell think its okay to do it next time.

My daughter know no but at time she will smile and keep doing what she is doing just to test how far she can go.
