My baby is 4 weeks today an I noticed her left eye watering and now it's got yellow coming out each corner of her eye. The doctors are closed until Tuesday. An that's her one month apt. Can anybody tell me what it may be or what to do to help it until Tuesday? I keep cleaning it by it comes right back.

my son has the same thing. his pediatrician did a culture to see what it was. she says most likely blocked tear duct but it could also be allergies (which this little is still possible but they cannot give any meds) my oldest had staph in her eyes from my mother-in-law wiping the ointment out when she was born. it caused the same goopy yellowish green slime but it caused a really bad rash.

Yea clogged tear duct most likely - use a warm cloth to clean it and try doing eye massages to help release it - unfortunately this could persist for up to a year - it did for my son but at one year cleared up
