Holy cow!! We've reached 9 months!! 💙🐳🐘🐮 Our little man is still packing on the pounds – at the rate of about an ounce a day. He now weighs almost 6 pounds and is more than 18 1/2 inches long. He's shedding most of the downy covering of hair that covered his body, as well as the vernix caseosa, the waxy substance that covered and protected his skin during his nine-month amniotic bath. After this week, he will almost be carried to term (known as near-term) - the rest is mostly just baby fat from here on out. His digestive system is the only major system in his body that is not fully developed yet - although he has had plenty of practice swallowing, he will not be fully digesting food until he starts eating on the outside.

Today, we are deeply saddened by the news that @Martinajjones' baby, Jason Andrew Colley, was born early and passed away. He was born today, on his father's birthday, at 34 weeks, weighing 4 pounds 7 ounces and 17 inches long. @Martinajjones has been a strong member of this community since January. We are so sad for her loss, and her family's, and our thoughts go out to her.

Sometimes you know your body better than everyone else. Not every woman will produce high levels of hcg throughout pregnancy some it can take weeks some it can take months don’t trust a blood test don’t trust a urine test trust your heart and when you know it’s times it’s time this doctor was not a gynecologist so he did not give me a quantitative blood test to actually see what my hcg level is at I hope this helps some of you ladies who just feel like giving up and stop testing because of what ...
