So FTM.. 37w2d was checked today at 2cm 75% effaced. Doctor said his head is pretty low. Anyways been laying in bed for about two hours and have no idea what Braxton hicks and contractions feel like but every so often the top of my belly will get hard and then I have a pain in my back and period like cramps they aren't painful just kinda an uncomfortable pain. Is this from being checked? Or Braxton hicks or contractions? Idk what to expect!

I think it's Braxton hicks , mine does the exact same thing, & im also a FTM so I don't really know what to expect or how things feel, but since they have stopped for a while i'd say were having BH ... Sucks bc im so ready to meet my bby.

if your body feels like you want to push then it's a contraction, with my son I kept thinking I had to poop and the sensation of having to poop would come and go then after 10 minutes of this I realized I was in labor lol it started out as just uncomfortable but then gradually got more painful. yours could be a combination of being checked and Braxton hicks. Once you can't talk/move through the pain then you'll know your in labor!
