Started the cry it out method today for nap time and she is just happy and talking lol I'm trying to break co sleeping

When I did this with my oldest I would "fake" sleep and he would fall asleep. If he didn't see me he would fall asleep. We shared a room for 6 years he has his own bed but slept with me till he was 2 1/2.
