I'm having contractions but I feel like nobody takes me serious because I'm not like doubled over in pain. With my other two I wasn't either. I just have a high threshold for this specific kind of pain, but when I go to the doctor they just kind of brush me off like "Oh if these were real contractions you wouldn't be so calm."

@kayloniandkirksmommy, EXACTLY! I went to the ER the other night because I was having contractions and before they checked me they were like "They're probably only BH contractions. You wouldn't be talking and laughing through the real ones." Low and behold I was 3cm and 70% effaced. Surprised the shit outta everyone.

Same thing with me! when i was preggo with my last daughter and went into labor the doc didn't believe me either. I had to legit lie on the floor and when they finally looked, her head was right there!

@ceeasquared, my local l&d treated me so badly omg. they said the exact same thing as well as "you're not in labor, you're not dilated", then botched my IV and I just remember suddenly having intense back labor and crying and I kept saying "why does my back hurt so bad"....lo and behold, I suddenly dilated and was in full labor. didn't have her until 48 hours later though

Same here I had contractions for 3 days and I decided to go to the hospital when they got stronger and I was super calm and the nurses thought that was weird lol they said no girl my age has ever been calm like me and I had no epidural , it was painful but I didn't bother screaming lol

that crazyyyy my mom was telling me she wasn't feeling contractions or water break when she went to her appointment come to find out she was 6cm dilated and the nurse had to take her to the hospital

@mommytoleo, Same for me with my other two. With my induction I had no epidural and they couldn't believe I was so calm through the big contractions on the paper. When I went to the hospital I had to tell them "I know my body. Something is off. Check me!"

When I went into preterm labor with my daughter I didn't even know I was having contractions some people are so naive and always compare their situation to others
