Sydney finally got discharged from the NICU at 11pm after failing the first car seat test the last 15 minutes. Her heart rate and oxygen dropped tremendously and she had to do a two hour test after and passed. Thank God my baby girl is home. Just no car rides longer than an hour. After dealing with Medicaid for 3 days finally got her ID # to made pedi appt which is Thursday. Daddy has been amazing. He was up doing her feedings every 3 hours and changing his baby girl while I slept. She's on very specially mixed formula which the NICU nurses are amazing and hooked us up. She did so good last night. Mommy and Daddy are so happy baby girl is home finally!! Our little burrito is such a fighter!!

My son has been in the NICU since his birth August 16. He's been on an oscillator and now CPAP. Was your baby on CPAP?

No she wasn't @koski78 she had feeding problems with lactose also elevated bilirubin so bad to be on the bili lights. She was small born 5lb 3oz but was only 12 days early so not a preemie just kept losing weight it got down to 4 something at one point.

@koski78, i hope your son gets stronger and gets to come home soon. It's a killer being discharged while your baby is still there. Keep me updated or let me know when he gets to come home.

Thanks. My due date is October 14 so I hope he can get off CPAP before then.
