there are risks and benefits for sure. However, you have to decide if the reason behind the induction is worth the possible risks. For example you have the induction at 39 weeks because your doc said it was ok just because your ribs are hurting and you're tired. You end up with a cesarean. That wasn't worth it.
Now if you have a medical issue like GD or Pre E that could really affect the baby if you don't deliver, but you end up with a cesarean....that's ok because your baby is born safe and healthy.
