I had one at 34 weeks 5 days. It was terrible the day it happened I kept dry heaving due to the medicine they gave me then the next day it was sore but I started walking it hurt most when I laid down to sleep that's when the nurses would come in to give me meds to help me fall asleep. Once I was discharged I stayed in the hospital rooming in for a week because my son didn't get out of the hospital until a week after he was born. I didn't take any of the pain meds prescribed to me I just took a lot of ibuprofen when needed. It hurts worse when you hit a bump in the road going home. But for the most part it wasn't that bad for me.
its not as bad as everyone makes it sound. its not a walk in the park but its managable. stay on top of taking pain meds. the first 3 days are the worst. it took a couple weeks to be able to move the way i wanted to especially in bed. ask for help and dont over do yourself. i was back to work by 4 weeks. youll be a little sore and tender for about 6 weeks. the worst part for me was the gas pains after. walking helps. walk as much as to you can.
Hmm , I'm glad it was not bad for you! I hope it goes the same for me. I most likely need a C-section. I'm afraid of the recovery and how many kids I can have because once you have a Csection , theres a limit on how many you can have. @rockysmommy
