So I Willie starting my son on milk tomorrow since he will be 11 months. I have a few questions. He is lactose intolerant or has a lactose allergy we are not used which of the two. He seems to do good with yogurt and ice cream. Should I start him on the regular cows milk or lactaid? WIC said to try the 1% first and see if he can tolerate it. IDK what to do I just don't want him to have a tummy ache.

a get a quart on your own of 1% and see how he does.. you don't want to blow your wic on what won't work

@chinue, well the milk I get for the WIC is for me since I'm pregnant. I won't start getting whole milk for him till November unfortunately. So it's not really a waste I drink it. I'll try the 1% since I have some already because the lactaid is expensive.

if the 1% doesn't work out just let them know ahead of time so they can put lactose on your vouchers.. when I said blow I was meaning when they give you the milk for the 1yr old

@chinue, yeah they don't start his toddler package till November I just went in August and they gave me a baby package still for him. I will thank you he has to go in November anyways
