in truth it's not nice. you fast from about 10pm the night before (you will get hungry- water does help a little), they take blood, make you drink this orange flavoured drink within 5 minutes (take a bottle of water because it leaves a nasty taste) then you have to sit doing nothing for 2 hours outside the room you're not allowed to eat or anything then they take the blood again and youre free to go. take a book or something to do because it's so boring xx

urghhh do you just have to sit in the waiting room? can you not go for a walk maybe? while you get the 2 hours out the way?

I was told I couldn't go far @happychamp16 because they want to see how the sugar reacts in your system. I could take a walk to make a call etc but she said don't walk around too much. I took my iPod & kindle! I've done it twice. First time I drank lucozade. Second time they said I could eat 20 jelly babies. I thought that would be better as I hate lucozade. No it was worse I felt so sick! Lol The drink is better. Take some snacks for after or go to the hospital canteen after to get something to eat & drink.

thank you all, il just have to take some magazines and a friend for company, never had to do anything like this before so was a bit worried about it as all i knew was that i had to drink a funny drink
