I was told, by my pediatrician, that babies that young can't always wake up to eat. She said it was better to wake them up because sometimes they will sleep through feedings and be super hungry when they wake up.

every 3 to 4 hours wake her thats what i do with my son

@jessicasharp, yea i was told the same. and im super paranoid about everything because she was in nicu for 8 days after she was born so im trying to do everything by the book. @zealous yea thats what i was trying to do but nothing i tried was really working to keep her up

@angylynn22, my daughter was in the NICU as well. I understand what you're saying. When my daughter doesn't like to wake up to eat, I just do everything I can to get her to eat. Sometimes she'll only eat an ounce or two before falling asleep; I just offer her an extra ounce or half an ounce the next time I feed her.

@angylynn22, play with the toes strip baby down to dipar in cool air might help n talk to baby if u have already did this then idk baby just sleepy lol
