I looked up double stitch videos on YouTube to make sure I was doing it right. pick your yarn and depending on how big you want the blanket depends on how many bundles of yarn you need. the brand I used is

it's warm and soft. I would recommend a smaller eyed hook when you do the starting chains (first line)and the second line because you don't have much to grab onto until you have the second line done so it made it harder for me because I only have a large hook. so get a smaller hook for the first 2 lines and a larger one for the rest of the blanket (: @macdeddy05 if anything PM me
also @macdeddy05 Bobby pins come in handy to count how many loops you've done especially with pregnancy brain ^-^ I put a Bobby pin in every 10 loops when I start my chain so I don't loose count...
