I seem to have developed a strong addiction to ice. I didn't really think anything of it until now, since I hear it's a common symptom of iron deficiency that a lot of pregnant women have. Should I bother getting iron supplements this late in my pregnancy? I don't mind the addiction, I'm just concerned about what might happen if I try to give birth without enough iron in my system. Could getting iron supplements really help that much?

@poohzbaby328 Thanks so much. :) I'll go out tonight and look for them. Any chance you could send a pic of the brand you use?

@poohzbaby328 I've been taking gummy Flintstones vitamins from Bayer during my whole pregnancy. If those are supposed to have enough iron in them then Idky I'm having this problem? I was just thinking of getting some little capsules of iron over the counter.

Yeah my dr told me that I can take flinstones vitamins with iron to get my iron up before delivery so I don't have to get a blood transfusion because I told him that I was doing the same thing (eating ice while I was working in a factory)
