I'm officially semi retired :) I've been doing daycare for almost 10 years straight, today was my last day. The last two kids (one I had for over four years) and her baby sister had their last day. I found them a new daycare that they'll be going to. It was bittersweet but I'm friends with all my clients so I still get to see the kiddos I've taken care of :) We paid off all our credit cards, paid our mortgage till next year, and have savings set aside. I'm gonna take two years off from daycare so I can enjoy my new baby ( when he comes) and focus on my family more since my daycare has consumed most of my life for so long. I have over two units of daycare stuff and new kids toys I will be going through and selling stuff from ( I don't think my mind will let me sit idle for long without working- so I'm going to do that part time to stay sane). I'm also going to publish a couple more books which I haven't had time to do. I'm mostly looking forward to getting sleep! A tremendous weight has been lifted off my shoulders, I'm so blessed!

Thanks :) God has truly blessed us so much this year! We've had years of back to back trouble. In the past two years alone we lost a pregnancy, my husband has had two spinal surgeries, a major car accident where he totalled his late fathers truck (after his first spinal surgery- by the grace of God his air bag didn't deploy or it would have killed him), in March we found out about the second spinal surgery, then found out we were expecting again, then in May had a house fire. What to many looked as a tragedy, we found to be a blessing. An electrical fire caused a bunch of damage to our home and left us displaced 2.5 months but has brought us a newly remodeled house and money to replace our damaged stuff and gave us a bit of financial stability. I'm just glad no one was hurt for that we are truly lucky because had it been a few hours later our roof would have collapsed on us and we wouldn't be here today. I never lost faith that things happen for a reason. When things look there worst, having faith gets you through. Miracles never happen when and how you expect them to that's for sure!

Thanks :) It was a lot to handle! But what doesn't kill you makes you stronger... that's for sure. My motto was this year "it is what it is". Everyone wondered how I could stay so positive going through so much ( those were just the highlights of the year- my husband was also laid off from having the second surgery and I lost a bunch of clients from moving and them not paying). But it's always darkest before the dawn and I'm just glad everyone is doing well!
