Depends on the state. My WIC office does everything from Similac to Enfamil to Soy formula to even some can being close to $40 (don't remember the name of it). You'll have to see what your office offers.

Yea but they won't give you a lot of formula cans

They encourage breastfeeding but there's no shame in needing formula! I was supplementing as well and got 9 cans. The only way you'd get denied is if you make too much money. You'll actually even get food for yourself like milk, eggs, cheese, bread etc.

The only way you'll get denied is if you make too much money. If your accepted then just ask what's the formula they use. The WIC office I go has never been rude and actually asked me what formula I'd like to have. @mommyandjonford

do they know you're breastfeeding? if not, don't mention it to them & you'll just get more cans

@mommyandjonford, they give you a few choices. They usually ask you at your first appointment

@reaganmommy2015, they didn't ask me when I had my first appointment since they asked me if I was BF 😞

I think I even wrote it down that I was supplementing also when they gave you the paper to fill out but still didn't ask @reaganmommy2015
