@messiahsmami, I have the same problem with my son, so here is what I do I sit him up on my leg with my hand under his chin to support his head and I pat his back, if that doesn't work then I put him up on my shoulder and pat and rub his back. eventually he burps, just takes time. ..and if he doesn't burp, I'll put him down for a few to rest and do it again and then he burps..but I also switch back and forth from sitting him up on my lap and having him on my shoulder.
