No it just feels a little funny when going in but you really barely feel it. Its in there in like 5 seconds.

I had no idea it was in. And then when they took it out it was just a weird feeling for a split second

they normally already put it after you got your epidural and you can't really feel it. I've also had it put in with no pain meds and it hurt.

I got my epidural before they put it in so I did not really feel it and I was already numb for my emergency c section

I had the same worry when I wanted to have a c section. I didn't want to have the catheter put in before the epidural. Some people say at some hospitals they'll wait until they give you the epidural.

@babyelkins2016, I had the spinal for my c section and it didn't hurt. they just took forever to get where they needed to on my spine. i didn't feel the catheter go in since they put it in after getting the spinal & didn't feel it when the pulled it out either.

Yes! I hated it 😢😢 it hurt bad for me especially when they pull it out

I didn't feel anything when they put it in @babyelkins2016 and when it was removed it didn't hurt but I felt a little pressure like a release when you have to pee bad. I know everyone is different

with my first I had an epidural then they did it but with my second they did it before I went back into the OR and it did hurt a bit I guess it just depends
