Need some advice...Dylan is nearly 4 months old and he likes to be cwtched in to go to sleep, I've tried the whole leaving him and checking every now and again to comfort him but he just screams, what else can I do to help him get out of being cwtched in all the time? also my OH starts work at 5 30 most mornings so I can't even leave Dylan to cry because means my partner won't get any sleep for work😕

Nothing works, we bought him the Ewan the dream sheep for £30 and it only works once he's been cwtched in and is slowly falling asleep in his crib x

I'm guessing you mean cuddled to sleep? @leigh-amyxo I've never left my boys to scream or cry for long periods. However I've never cuddled them to sleep either. Unless their poorly or need extra reassurance now & then. I lay them down, leave them for a few minutes & if their crying go back in. Lay them back down, stroke their face say goodnight & walk back out. I repeat this, slowly leaving them a bit longer each time (providing their not screaming). If they're still really upset I go in more regularly but I still don't pick them up. It won't happen over night it takes consistency but it's always worked for me. Id have the odd bad night but that's when you have to stick to it 😊 As for your oh working. You can't stop a crying baby, he'll have to get used to a bit of crying now & then. Could always sleep on the sofa 😂

Daisy is 9 weeks and I cuddle her to sleep every night 😂 she has to be fast asleep when I put her in her cot or she'll just wake up and will not go to sleep no matter what xx
