Since my baby is only 5 wks should i wake her up when she sleeps long periods through the day or let her sleep?
I would just let her sleep. She will get into her own routine soon. But if she's still not sleeping through the night like when she's a few months old then that's when I would start trying to keep her awake during the day for longer periods of times.
Whatever your comfort with but I feel like babies will always tell us when they're hungry after having a set feeding schedule for a good amount if time.
@kaitlyncouch okay i thought so i want her to sleep longer so i can start getting stuff done more
I wouldn't but that's just me. I was always told don't wake them they will wake when they are ready.
They say an infant typically won't go more than 5 hours without eating. I feel like that's a reasonable amount of hours between!
@mrs.mccormick I'm trying to break her from that because i want her to sleep through the night not Wake me up every two hours
My dr told me that once my son had double his birth weight I could stop waking him up. But he was a premie and was only 5 lbs 14 ounces at birth so it might be different.
