The nightgown has to undo all the way down in the front or back or the hospital won't allow it. That way they can easily get it off in case of an emergency. Kmart sells ones that zip and snap down.

And alot of people said that they aren't because it'll just get ruined by blood but because of many many periods I know how to get blood out of clothing lol so I don't see it as a waste of money .

Try to look into delivery gowns specifically.... Most hospitals won't let you have something that doesn't open front and back to allow epidural and monitor access....

with my other 3 pregnancys I used the same type of gown but instead of the socks I had an old pair of house shoes that I wore all during my pregnancy and when they was almost wore out I bought a new pair and used the new pair for after birth and the old pair during labor but the socks is not a bad idea either

This is the one that I got. It's a halter for nursing, a low back for epidural, and ties in front for monitor. Also able to just cut off
