I'm at 4cm too and gave in and took the epi.. mines is not working on the back labor but everything else is numb.. good luck

The peanut ball made me dilate from 4cm to 10 within an hour after the epidural.

The hospital I gave birth at doesn't do epidurals anymore. The do fentanyl doses thru your IV.

They must of not been good at giving epidurals

@babyboy449, girl. I cursed him out. he took it out like 3 times... and only my damn right side knumb ...my left I feel everything . so I feel a half as contraction on my left side

Mine didn't even take effect! I felt everything and when they said I shouldn't feel anything I told them the pain was actually worse... Everything went numb for a half hour then the pain got SO INTENSE and they said it's not normal and that I shouldn't feel a single thing so they decided to check me and turns out I was fully dilated and had to start pushing immediatelyy. I swear it was that peanut ball! Soon as they put it between my legs the pain got so bad because I dilated so fast from them breaking my water plus the epidural. They had to of done mine to late not realizing how fast I dilated because you shouldn't feel anything other than a little pressure. Congrats tho mama! You got this! It's so well worth it in the end. :) soon as your little one is placed on your chest the whole world just stops.

@mamatobe8516, omg girl same here I feel everything...and they coming in here every 20 mins to up the dose of the meds to give me stronger contractions....this is torture. they checked I was 4cm ,,wth
