Anyone know anything about "paternity leave" ?

ive heard if your not married the dad gets 6 weeks

Depends on who he works for. My boyfriend is a teacher and would have to use his 14 days of sick days

I agree with babes. It depends on the company and insurance. My husband gets two weeks of paternity leave. He could take up to 6 but only two is paid.

Depends on the job. My husband is a Corrections Officer and he gets 2-4 weeks of paid paternity family leave.

@amaperalta03, with our union my boyfriend got one week paid paternity leave and he took an extra 2 weeks but it was FMLA to assist in caring for newborn. Never heard of 6 weeks paternity leave. The guy didn't give birth.

@nurseriri, Mine gets 6 weeks paid and 6 weeks unpaid if he wants more time. I guess it depends on the company.
