I understand the role of a Godparent and all. Yes , they're suppose to love your child and do for your child as if it was theirs if something were to ever happen to the parents and some people do while they're still here which is great to it's like that's your child as well BUTTTTT at the end of the day THIS IS STILL MYYYYY CHILD so please let me be her parent she's not even here yet and you're already my child this my child that and trying to make decisions for her ummm NO. Please don't make me regret asking you to be her God parent and just say she doesn't have any at all.

They shouldn't but some people are over the top but at the end of the day it's basically just a title... Bc I'm pretty sure God forbid something were to happen to you you child would go to a parent or sibling.... People just do the most sometimes...
@korasia, I just don't want them to feel like they can over step me and tell me decisions for my child if you want to do for her or buy her things here and there I'm find with that but she's my child and you can't make life decisions for her without talking to me or her father. Telling me what I can and can't do with her when's she born if I don't want to take her somewhere or do something I don't have to until she gets of age. Then they be like wells she's my baby too no she's mine. Sorry for the rant
@korasia, exactly , yes more than likely if something was to happen to me or him she'd go with a family member.
