No judgment please! I have an appointment on thursday and ive decided to speak with my dr about an elective csection. Crazy right? Honestly, i think its best for me. I had so much trauma when i got married (i was a virgin till marriage) when we would have sex. It hurt like hell! Literally screamed everytime we tried. Till i went to a dr and he diagnosed me with vaginismus. (basically my vagina contracts and the muscles close involuntarily when in physical contact or pressure). Its gotten much better. Sex doesnt hurt anymore. But any other physical contact hurts like hell. 😣 I cant have any pap smears or vaginal exams because ill cry and scream (not even exaggerating). I just dont think i can go through a natural birth experience even with all the drugs. I thought about it so much and talked to my husband, read all the pros and cons a million times and i think thatll be the better path for me and my baby. Can anyone give me advice or tell me their c section stories whether elective or not.

I had a c-section with my first it was emergency but it's really not as bad as people think ! I'll be having another one in November. Once they allow you up to walk do it the pain medicine helps but actually walking around helps so much more ! my they usually give you a belly binder to help you feel like everything is in place.

Honestly with an epidural you can't feel anything I lost feeling from the middle of my stomach down to my toes, if you wanted to try vaginal birth

You won't feel anything with an epidural. Just ask them for it as soon as possible and explain why. Elective c-sections typically aren't covered by insurance from what I have been told.

Do whats best for you. I was gonna get an elective c section but I changed my mind. I had an epidural and it wore off by the time I pushed lol I'm never getting that again

i had an elective c section after 12 hours of labor because my sons heart rate wasnt accelerating and the doctor said it wasnt "reassuring" and i went in at 6:01 and he was born at 6:31. the worst part was when they put the anesthesia in my back. that shit hurt like shit! after i needed help sitting up and had to move super slow because of the incision. now im almost 4 weeks pp and the worst part is my itching. shea butter relieves it though. you can have your husband in there after they administer the anesthesia.

I didn't have a c section. I was induced, and ended up getting a episiotomy because I couldn't get her out. And even with the episiotomy, they had to still pull her out... It was awful. I felt everything, even with a epidural. All the epidural did was take away the abdominal pain from contractions. I still felt but contractions, and felt my vagina totally ripping open, felt the midwife stretching me. Id go with whatever your most comfortable with. My daughter was born 8 pounds 7 ounces. And if she would've been any bigger, I would've had to get a c section.

I think I have vaginismus too. Everything is so painful when it goes in or out down there

I can see why you would want a c section. Idk how I'm going to give birth. I scream and cry at vaginal exams too
