How many moms don't really want visitors in the first month? including your own mom.

Me. I'm not going to let anyone visit for at least the first two weeks. It'll just be me, my husband and our daughter. It's important to us that we bond with her as a family before anyone else. Plus I don't trust anyone and their nasty germs

@giananiicole, I'm still like that and my daughter is 6 weeks. I really don't want her around people until she gets her first set of shots... Unfortunately people including my own mom don't understand that

Yea @ainsleighsmumma we don't want anyone visiting until he's at least a month old, I would love to have a longer time because of bonding and germs, but the family is pushy. @lelizabeth I totally feel you my mom is definitely not understanding, she told me "remember that when I'm dead" and "I'll just watch my grandson grow up through pictures, no biggie" so immature and childish but I'm standing my ground. Everyone besides her has seen it as normal and totally reasonable.

@giananiicole, my response to that comment would be "well if that's how you feel then maybe it will be like that" but I'm a bitch to my mom bc she treats me like a child and it drives me crazy.

@lelizabeth, that's pretty much exactly what I said. I told her she's childish and I'm not being unreasonable so it would be for the best if she doesn't come see us at all. 😊 and I feel relieved! Good luck with yours too, at least you'll always know what not to do with your kids.

@giananiicole, exactly! I basically just avoid my mom until I'm ready to talk to her. She has come to learn that our interactions are based on my time not hers. She has no life and I have the newborn so I decide when we see each other and if she doesn't like it then she doesn't see us. Let's say she learned real quick...
