Question.. When did you guys start giving baby cereal in milk to help sleep thru night..
@kyndallh77, he's 3 months and he's taking 2 table spoons! I would talk to a doctor first though that's pretty young and be very hard on the little ones tummy! Seems like a lot to me! But is he spitting isn't if it up!
I didn't make it that thick at all. I made it to where it was on the watery side but still stayed on the spoon. And she said she likes having her patients start early to learn textures and learning how to hold the spoon and feed themselves ect. She gave me a print out on what she wanted my daughter to try every month. For now its just fruit veggies and cereals. At 6-8 months I can start to introduce chicken, turkey, tofo, plain whole milk. and yogurt. I have a list of things until shes a year. @sharonpaige13
@sharonpaige13, how much rice are you putting in the bottle my 2 week old is eating 4 oz already every 3 hours and its like clock work
@babynessa, I'm starting right now to spoon feed my son! How thick do you make yours? And she say why to start him on fruit and veggies so early?? Just curious (:
I feed my daughter cereal by a spoon at 3 months then her pedi said to start her on fruit and veggies at 4 months.
I gave him rice cereal (not oatmeal some moms mix them up its important to give rice first) but I did at 6 weeks because he was eating to much! And it's not proven to help them sleep at night more to help with spitting up...I just used it to fill him up faster because at 6 weeks he was eating 11 oz!! Once I have him the rice it was 4 oz lol
@babynessa, wow that's awesome!!! Glad you and your doctor are working out great! And awesome that's how I do it too and didn't know if I should be making it thicker or not lol
