Help! I don't know what to do about my 6 month old's congestion 😕 I've been doing baby rub on his chest and feet with socks since 2 am and been using saline spray and suctioning his nose. Also even used my diffuser with essential oils just to see if it helped and so far nothing had helped. I'm so scared to lay him down bc he keeps coughing and kind of choking on the mucus(I assume) that's running back in his throat. I'm not aware and f any medication you can give a 6 month old for this, so does anyone else have anything to add to the list of things I'm already doing?

a cold most humidifier and a vapor bath. they make baby vapor bath soap. I use baby's r us brand

this just scared. me. my son caught my cold and idk what to do for him.. didn't think about him getting chocked on the mucus :(

Hylands homeopathic makes something for 6 mos and older called baby tiny cold tablets, I've never used it but I've used their products when my kids were older and they work well

Ah @haileylouisechilders I should've picked some up while I was out, completely slipped my mind they made that. Oh well I will get some tomorrow for sure! And @mum2logi I'm sorry! I know I just caught myself thinking that way and had to stop before I freaked myself out. I was reading that people kind of incline the crib mattress with something like books. But we bed share and idk how I could prop my mattress up bc it's very thick. I think suctioning it out like I have been all day has helped a little or at least kept it from getting worse. I'm gonna call his pedi in the morning. @bianca_rose oh wow, I need to find some of that, I have never seen it in stores. Where'd you find it?

You can also suction some of that mucus out with the nose bulb thingy

been using this since my son was about 5 months. dr said it was okay its all natural. i just started with a very small dosage and it always had my little man cleared up.

@babyjjsmommy, ah, I'm a cosleep mommy as well so the pillow thing wouldn't work. last night was horrible. I felt so bad for him and he was so fussy I finally gave in and let him sleep on his tummy and just kept watching him to make sure he was ok. hopefully our babies will get over this soon!

I hope so! Mine was coughing in the car this morning to on my way to drop him off at my grandma's 😥 I hope it's nothing serious, just a small cold that will pass. @mum2logi
