shyt I wish... with my 1st I barely even worked. but this baby I have a good job and its a sit down job and we get paid maternity leave so I'm gonna wait as long as possible

I wish I could have taken off that long. My shitty job doesn't offer maternity leave so I've just been trying to save as much as possible... Where do you work? That much maternity leave would be awesome

I have the option to take a light duty seated position but the downside is that they only allow a max of 20hrs per week. I'd rather get 40hrs and just leave earlier

Me too but I am high risk for preterm labor cutting my hrs in sept. Then going on maternity leave at 32 weeks.

@savana_c, I work for Macy's logistics. We process everything that happens online.

@arivera64, damn I need to look into that.. It would be amazing to be able to spend that extra time with my LO once she gets here. I'm making sure my next job has maternity leave for sure

I wouldnt leave early if i got that amount of time. I would go in right when i was due and spend more time with the baby

@sexii_diiva, yes full job security. When eligible the job allows 26 weeks maximum combined leave. I'm allowed 16 weeks of fmla and then 10 weeks of company leave

@2queenbee9, I don't even plan to go back after. I am just glad that i have that amount of leave with job security in case things change. I plan on focusing on expanding my business though and not returning.

also @2queenbee9 my job is demanding. It's in a warehouse where it's very loud and can be dangerous at times. No way do i want to be waddling around there at 39 weeks

well in that case. I personally dont like working that long but i like spending the extra time with my baby so i sacrifice for that

If i only had 6 weeks or 12 like i thought, i would probably just do the light duty at 20hrs a week so that i could last longer @2queenbee9

I get 16 weeks but i work in a hospital so I work til the last day because everyone takes pitty on the pregnant girl plus if i go into labor im I'm already ready to go lol
