Does anyone else get irritated with their kids when helping them with learning! I bought these workbooks to help out my son until he gets to school (we need to find his birth certificate so he can go) but it's like he'll start out doing well then he starts giving up almost immediately and starts laughing and doing flips and stuff he's 5 he's great at numbers and trying to spell right now but when you try and help him he starts laughing and being loud and it gets irritating I just don't want him like me! I used to get angry when I didn't get stuff and I'd start crying and I'd be stuck on homework for hours with my mom getting mad and I don't wanna see that happen with my little boy! Ugh

my niece is 3 and hates sitting still and doing things like that. but we incorporate in into things she does like and she's learning without it being "boring".. we do how many grapes can she eat, what noise does the dog make, count the dogs teeth (our dog smiles to let her count), how many stop signs did we stop at, how do you spell stop, what color is the stop sign. stuff like that.
