@daisysmummy, don't worry I think it happens with some babies! At least I have no explanation! Harry's still awake and is every night & probably won't sleep till his next bottle at 11/11:30!!xx
@jessicas_mummy, she's 8 weeks but I feel like I should have some sort of routine by now :( @daniluvsdis I see mums with babies around Daisy's age who are down for the night by half 7-8 :( I bath her and settle her in a dimly lite room and I always make sure she's stimulated in the day :/
@jessicas_mummy, I want to get her in a routine asap... I have to live by routine or I'm all over the place (mental health issues) so not having a routine right now is driving me insane and I can barely function :( xx
Aww bless you, I can relate, I have bipolar so find I need some sort of routine in order to function. We're kinda getting there, but some days its all thrown out of whack and it does drive me a bit mad. But in time it'll settle down and everything will fall into place. Have faith hun, and don't stress, you're doing just fine ☺ xx
My daughter is on my routine for sleep and wake up time. Thought the day is quite free because I'm not too busy during the day unless I have to go out. What I find helps is a few hours before bed time say 6.00 I dim the lights, talk quietly and don't play with her. When I feed her I put her straight down or rock her to sleep and lay down with her and she's normally out by 7.30. In the morning because I have a son I wake up to make his breakfast at 8.00 every morning and open the curtains and let light all through the house. I don't wake her up but I'm not quite ill just get on with things as normal and now she gets a bit fussy if I'm ever running late home for bedtime as she's ready to be in bed sleeping and in the morning she just wakes up herself around the time I do and will have naps here and there throughout the day x
@jessicas_mummy, I have anxiety and depression and both are made a lot worse without routine :( before having Daisy my routine was like clock work, every day without fail! xx
Don't worry if she don't get it straight away though just keep trying because she's 8 weeks and she just needs time to get into that habit my daughter is 3 weeks and because I have a 4 year old and he's on a strict 7.30-8.00 bedtime I needed her to be on the same time so I put her on my routine soon as we got home from the hospital otherwise I would be way too tired thought the day as my sons very energetic and my partner works long hours and can't get leave in order to help me x
@ceecee190, she's quite a bad sleeper :( she doesn't sleep much in the day and at night, getting her to sleep longer than 3 hours is nearly impossible xx
