I'm just curious what everybody's two cents is on this topic. Do you think sex in a relationship is everything?
The reason I ask, (I'm currently pregnant now) but before I got pregnant and now, I have zero interest in sleeping with my fiancé who I've been with for almost three years now. Nothing turns me on, not even porn or the thought of other people or other things. We haven't had sex in over a month and I feel like it's just going to cause problems later on. I know it hurts and bothers him... He doesn't get mad when I reject him (which is almost every single day) but I can tell it upsets him a lot. When we do have sex, it's for his benefit, never for myself. I could care less. I haven't had an orgasm in probably over 9 months now and it literally doesn't bother me. I don't know what to do... I'm at a total loss only because I feel so obligated to just have sex with him so he'll shut up and because I don't want him getting interested in other people or having those thoughts because I'm falling through the cracks. Some of my friends tell me to suck it up and just have sex everyday to please him otherwise he'll leave me and other friends say it may be a hormone thing on my part. I just need honest advise. 😔

I think you should talk to a doctor about it . it could be hormones girl honestly ever since I was pregnant I've been the same ! I haven't had an orgasm since before I was pregnant.. my daughter is about to be six months ! I think I'm going to bring it up to my doctor because I don't think it's right . but maybe you just talk to him and explain what your going through maybe?

I think it is important in a relationship even tho i myself dont crave it as much as i wish. I am a breastfeeding mom so my sex drive is on vacation lol but i try my best to please my man even tho I'm not feeling it. I wouldn't want him to look for it somewhere else.

no atietay34, my first question is are you happy? With him. Second is... was there a problem that you can't get over? Like infidelity on his part.

You don't have to have sex if you don't want too he should understand . I didn't have sex with my boyfriend for 3 months after having our first baby and he was going crazy and bitching . I don't remember if I pleased him in other way but now I'm pregnant again and I always been horny lol so maybe it's a hormone thing I have never experienced that personally but I know some women get like that when they are pregnant . Some even hate the smell of their man .

i understand you. i have 0 sex drive! and when i do rarely give in its purely to satisfy him. so i fake it all to turn him on more so it can end quick -_- i dont think its "everything " but it is a big part of a relationship, in my opinion. he should understand though its your hormones, you will get your sex drive back as soon as you deliver baby. at least i always do. and then its frustrating cuz u cant have sex and u wanna jump on him! haha

In my opinion I don't think sex is everything in a relationship but intimacy is needed in order to make a relationship work. Not saying have sex every single day but maybe once a week or once every two weeks just so he's satisfied. It may be a hormone thing for you but a man has needs just like a woman and sometimes you have to give a little in order to make him and you happy down the line.

Never have sex because you feel like you HAVE to...maybe try something new to get spice back into your sex life. I feel like it becomes a routine sometimes, but just changing one thing can make all the difference!

@katietay34, When you are pregnant things change. I don't want to be touched or cuddled, and sex Im really not interested in. My husband gets it I have had sex a few times just for him, however even if I didn't he would be fine. Many women lose their sex drive while pregnant, it helps to have a partner who understands that. When Im not pregnant yes, it's up on the list with communication. Keep others out of your bedroom life and just make sure you are communicating with him, find out how he feels and work at it together. Also talk to your doctor since it was occuring before pregnancy.

have him start by giving you pleasure making you feel all that you need to feel in order to make him happy. my bf knows I rather not have sex. so to get me in the mood he pleases me first. and it gets me into this type of high that I feel the urge to make him happy.. we never have sex when one or the other isn't in the mood bc it feels forced. and that's what breaks a relationship

@leahsmommi, yeah I'm happy. And what do you mean?

sex isn't the whole relationship but it's a big part. just like communication is a big part. if either or falls from the norm it becomes a problem. which is why couples fight. but it might just be your hormones. you're pregnant you've been pregnant for quite some time now. see once you have your baby after awhile if it goes back to "normal" for you.

Sex is huge in a relationship, especially for men. Have you tried talking to your doctor? There are medications to help with your libido...

girl I feel the exact same way and my daughter is 6 months old. sex is the last thing on my mind and no i don't think it's the most important thing, in a relationship I feel you need to connect together on several different levels, not just sexual.
