they asked if I was on medicaid and I told them no I was on my insurance through the Veterans Affair (I was in the Navy) they then told me I needed to bring the last 2 pay stubs I had and a bunch of other stuff to come and find out I was just 5 dollars over. I felt kinda defeated honestly

That's sad bc my wic office didn't ask me to verify anything they just gave it to me... I didn't have to show proof of anything just my address

They told me to bring my check stub but they never actually looked at it. I make more between $500-700 a week.

My gf used to make paystubs so she could get it because she was barely over the limit too
