So I'm a little worried... I babysit a 6 year old little girl. She was here one day throwing up all day and the mom didn't care... Yesterday she kept saying her stomach and eyes hurt. She wouldn't eat anything yesterday (she is 6 in a size 3T shorts). Her grandmother texted me worried about her, while the mother still has said nothing. Today I asked her if she felt better and she said no. The mother rolled her eyes and said "yeah, so she says" she then told her to just drink her drink because it has Zofran in it... I can't bring up my feelings to her, so I'll just keep it to Preggie 😔

Maybe tell the grandmother and she can take her to the doctor or something

@mrsthig, @shellbell0391 I've tried talking to her before and she blows me off saying she's fine. Usually she doesn't even talk to me when she drops the kids off or picks them up. I try not to make her mad because I need the money. She sounds irritated every time I bring up that the little girl doesn't feel well 😔

Preggie can't exactly help. You need to call someone. You're that little girl's only ally right now. Also you need to protect yourself in case she is contagious.

That's terrible, can you talk to grandma about it? A 3T on a 6 yr old doesn't sound right

@tayek, I wasn't asking Preggie for help. I was just venting. She doesn't have a fever. I know they don't get neglected so I'm not going to turn her in. I feel like it's either she wants attention because her mom doesn't pay as much attention to her now as she did before she just had this baby... Or she is so tiny that when she doesn't eat for a day, her stomach shrinks causing her not to be able to eat. I just wanted to vent because I'm so mad that her mom acts like it isn't a big deal. Even if it's just for attention, it is a big deal. But I'm a hypochondriac mom anyway lol

@bianca_rose, exactly! She's so tiny. I talked to the grandmother some last night and she said she has always turned down food. She asked me to allow her anything she wants. Even if it's just junk food so she's at least getting something. But that doesnt sound right to me either. Im no doctor though 😕

@jaxmomma, I doubt you're a hypochondriac. Your intuition is buzzing. I'm not sure a child can consciously starve themselves but I also have a 2 year old who has strong food preferences and aversions. He is adopted and we're working thru his little phases. That's VERY tiny so even if she's not being "neglected" I still feel like something is amiss.

@jaxmomma, if her child isn't eating it is a big deal and someone probably should be called or you could try giving her pediasure while she is in your care. Don't just brush it off I get that you are venting but just ask yourself how you would want someone to respond if it were your child.

You can't judge on size. My son will be 6 in November and he can still fit in 2t shorts! He eats like a pig everyday but has a high metabolism. As far has the mother not caring, that is horrible!

@surprise4, I give pediasure and that's all I can get her to eat/drink
