So I've had really thick, slimy discharge lately when I wipe.. Can this be part of my mucus plug? If so, could I be having this baby early?

It could be but mucus plugs can regenerate so if it falls out early it will grow back. With my son I used to lose pieces since 20 weeks and it grew back.

I dilated and have this constant mucus come out at 34wks. I went into preterm labor. But they stopped it and I'm now 36wks. Keep an eye on it.

@nataliekm, oh gosh! How did they stop it? And why? Obviously 34 weeks is really early but I didn't realize they could stop it.

They gave me a pill that stops contractions and the steroids to help her lungs produce surfactant. All I had to do was make it to the second shot (which I did) and they said she was fine to come. Specially if you and baby haven't had any problems! Also, you can lose your mucus plug and nothing happen at all. I was just one of the few that lost it and went into labor /: just be careful! I was super active too. I didn't know what it was.

Your plug regenerates every 24 hours dont worry it does not mean labor just a possibility
