@jo1993, once babies here if your claiming child tax credits you can claim it I think xx

@jo1993, does mean you can probably get it when baby is born though coz I also can't get it before baby but you can claim up to 3 months after bubs is born when you'll be on one of the benefits needed probably!

how can you get the grant? do you need to receive any benefits before applying for it ??

Once they get it they will let you know, then takes 10 days to decide a date but tends to be the end of your pregnancy you receive the grant.
