I just spent the last hour crying because it just hit me. My child will probably never know my mother. She pretty much pretends I don't exist. I'm several States away from all of my family. I've been in Mississippi for 6 months and I dont know anyone or have any friends. My husbands family just likes to cause drama and my husband works so hard and so much I feel like I'm always alone. I won't be having help taking care of my child or buying the thing he/she will need. I'll likely have to become a stay at home mom because we can't afford daycare and my husband works 13 hour days. I'm not looking for anyone's pity or handouts. I just needed to tell someone instead of bottling up all of my feelings.

I'm in the same boat although I financially can't stay home. I have saved as much as I could my ENTIRE pregnancy and still barely have enough for a month off after she's born :( My family doesn't act like I exist either....husband works nights...his family still calls me his ex's name (which they hated her so that feels great!)...no friends as I was in an abusive relationship before my husband and lost the few I had made after moving here....

@1sttimemummy, I actually moves from Denver when I got married. My husband makes enough to cover rent, electric, and car insurance. I work to cover food and hygiene stuff and things for my pregnancy. so I'm hoping for some sort of assistance like food stamps or TANF. since He will be the only one working for a few months

That's crazy! And nice my husband could but, gives over half of it to his ex for child support. Even though he could get it DRASTICALLY reduced....

If possible try and convince him especially because now he has to think about you and your baby as well
