Okay this may be a dumb question... We are a military family. Our closest family to us is my MIL which is 30 mins away and my SIL who is 45 mins away. When I go into labor, can we take my son with us until one of them could get to the hospital to take him? Also, are there restricted times my son will get to be with us in the hospital? I will miss him way too much!

It depends on your hospital , my hospital children aren't allowed anywhere but the waiting room and they have to be with an adult so your SO would most likely have to sit in the waiting room with him until someone else could watch him . But it could be different at your hospital so I'd call

My son watched my birth but he's also 7, I'm not sure about babies. He wasn't allowed to sleep there, he had to leave by 8
