Hi. I'm trying to get pregnant. So I have nexaplanon in my arm for only 3 weeks and had it removed Monday. I was told I'd ovulate within the next few days then I'd have a normal period soon. Since sperm lives in the vagina for 5-7 days and I had sex right after it was removed I should be able to get pregnant right? (They told me it'll stop working as soon as it was removed) so I've already heard that it takes three months to go back to normal. But it doesn't with nexaplanon it just takes 24 hrs. Then I could start ovulating. It's been three days since I've had unprotected sex , & I just start very light lightly spotting. Does this mean I could be pregnant? Am I probably going to get pregnant? Could I still be pregnant?

I mean, technically you could, but that spotting was likely due to getting the implant out. Remember to be patient! It can take 6-12 days for a fertilized egg to even implant. And that's for everyone. No one has super eggs that implant three days after sex.

So the spotting could be just from the nexaplanon removal? And there's still a chance of pregnancy?

you will spot after the removal for sure. I got pregnant through the same implant but I spotted after having it removed. there is still a chance but not this soon. also just give it a little time. I know they say it will quit working as soon as they take it out but your hormones will still be thrown out of whack. just try not to stress and enjoy being in love for right now. if you worry too much about timing you stress yourself out and it makes it more difficult.

How long did it take you to become pregnant after removal?
