i have a bit of a dilemma can someone.help or give advice, im going friday to register finlay ive never had a copy of my birth certificate i assumed my parents had it so i phoned them up to ask for it for my ID when i do registet him and they told me they dont have it as my father burnt it when i was little😢 so now i dont know what to do as ive phoned the registrar and she said if i ordered a new one it'll take 10 days to come back, is there any other documents i can use?

Do you need id me and my partner took ours along and they didn't even look at it or ask for it, have you got a passport provisional licence driving licence? @danielleallen110 x

You can order a birth certificate online with next day delivery? But more expensive but I did when I needed proof of ID getting a house! Xx

my purse was robbed a few weeks back with all ID cards etc in so waiting for new one xx @chesscalouise2

I took my passport they didn't even ask to see it , I'd just turn up if I was you just take the babies red book

I went to register my baby today and took no id, she asked if I had some I said I didn't and she said it didn't matter they only use it to check that names etc are spelt correctly on certificate:)

I didn't need a birth certificate @danielleallen110 just photo ID. Basically a passport.
