Anybody on here develop a fever postpartum? If so what did it end up being?

The night I came home from the hospital I spiked a fever. I called labor and delivery and spoke to my doctor and he said to take Tylenol and push fluids and to let him know if I still had it by morning. I almost had to be re admitted to the hospital to get antibiotics thru IV
yes I was going to say I'd call your doctor today though and ask them only because you just had your baby and it could be some infection of some sort. hope you feel better! :(
@t1mom, I'm not bleeding more then usual. It's not bright red it's a normal red. Nothing out of the ordinary.
Are you bleeding more than usual? Bright red? Any large clots? Fevers can be associated with post partum hemorrhaging.
@mdomke22, I googled it earlier and it can be a bunch of things. My discharge papers said if I develop a fever to call so I am calling as soon as the doctors office opens. Just hope it's nothing to serious.
hmm then I'm not sure what it could be.
I did but only because I was hemorrhaging
