I don't know which is better but I tore alittle and all they did was numbed me and gave me stitches. I was a natural birth.

It really depends on the size of the baby and how well your vagina stretches. I didn't tear with my daughter and I had an Epi but she was only 5lbs. I did tear with my son and I had and Epi with him too even though it didn't work in time so I felt every got damn thing 😖 but he was 7lbs 7oz.

How long did they stay in for? Like what did you have to do? @kristinamorandi

They dissolved. I really only had to make sure I cleaned the area in the shower that was it.

I tore with 3 of my 4. they put in some stitches. use ice for the first couple days.. they give you a bottle to rinse with (kinda like a bidet). I didn't have an epidural with any of them.

I was all natural and had a second degree tear, I didn't feel it nor did I feel anything when they stitched me up. they told me not to wipe but to pat with a warm cloth and the stitches dissolved within ten days. I never felt my stitches when I was healing and I didn't even need Tylenol for recovery

I had an epidural and had to get an episiotomy, didn't feel them cut me, didn't feel my son come out, didn't feel them stitch me up. Epidurals are wonderful 😂

@paightonsmommy, I had an epidural, but also got 2nd degree tears. I felt the tear, but that's also because when I was pushing the nurse was trying to help stretch to get my son out. they stiched me up I didn't feel that, but you feel the pain afterwards, especially when you go to the bathroom, so they give you a spray bottle to spray with when you use the bathroom, and you pat dry not wipe, and you get ice packs to use, and I got numbing spray and cream and witch hazel pads to use too. the stitches are supposed to dissolve on their own.

I had an epidural and did not tear. I delivered an 8 lb 4 oz baby boy.
