Exactly!! @abbylouise I don't want to upset his tummy by over feeding him but he's just so hungry every feed we've upped him to 5oz tonight to see how that goes!! X
I tried my baby on the formula because he was draining 4oz bottles every 2/3hrs and still wanting a little more after! I was scared I was feeding him too much 😂 at 3 weeks he drains a 5oz bottle nearly every feed and sometimes I he'll take an extra ounce
Yea my first was textbook too, he's about every 2-3 hours and he's taking 4oz but isn't happy when he finishes he completely drains the bottle and is upset that it's all gone too @Sara-lou xx
I tried my baby on hungrier baby formula when he was about 2 weeks old, It didn't seem to make a difference but I noticed he was more fussy and crying more, I asked my health visitor about it and she said they contain proteins which make it hard for them to digest properly, hence that it keeps them fuller for longer, but can give them bad constipation and makes their bodies work harder than they need to. She just suggested upping the ounce of the feed but just riding it out as some babies are hungrier than others but they should settle down into a routine and not want feeding as often :-)
Feeding often is normal for a newborn...my girl would feed for 20-30 mins...with a 10 min break unless sleeping xx She was constantly eating :) Its normal for newborns as they have small stomachs xx
How often does he feed @beadyeyes93 My son is 4 weeks & feeds 4oz every 2hrs sometimes 3. Which is still normal for a newborn apparently (new to me as my 1st was 3/4hrs). I contemplated hungry milk but their still so young I think they just need feeding on demand for a while yet 😊
