Does anyone know what implications (if any) low iron has at 35 weeks?! My midwife just called to say that mine is low 😏

I suffer from anaemia usually & it's been low but it's dipped below 10, I've upped my liquid iron intake as the tablets don't agree with me. I'll keep on top of it now as I really don't want any form of complication. Thanks for your advice @natzie86 @winterbaby95 xx

I had low iron :) I took Iron supplements (within my pregnancy tabs and liquid form) Like @natzie86 said you can feel drained...but iron is also important for blood production :) I lost 3 litres of blood due to complications! and was given transfusions :) Having high Iron levels will help replace the blood..you've lossed( if you do) So thats why its really important xx

I think it depends how low, I was anaemic with 2of my girls and apart from feeling drained after the birth we was both fine but with my baby I felt awful for two weeks after she was born and had no motivation at all but baby was fine
