what's a membrane sweep ? and is it a good thing?

It's when the dr separates the water sack from the cervix. I got it done and went into labor the next morning

A membrane sweep is a way of trying to bring on labour to avoid going too overdue. It'll be the first step your midwife or doctor offers, before other methods of induction, to get your labour going. Your midwife or doctor will carry out the procedure. (but if u get it done bring a pad cuz you'll need it)

The midwife takes her finger and separates the water from your uterus 😊 it helps start labor within 24 hours😊

It is painful from what I know but I mean if you're like me and just want the baby out its worth it

I mean I don't fear pain so yeah I'm only 25 weeks n 5 days I wish I was 40 already to have my baby @kaileenicole16

Yeah I don't fear pain either and I know how you're feeling. Once I hit 36 weeks it like time stopped.

😣😣😣yeah ma I just wanna hold her little self lol we all do tierd of the heart burn nausea vomiting etc... but it's definitely worth it but I wanna get the membrane sweep whenever they tell me I can get it @kaileenicole16
